  • Checking Account: USA One checking accounts will be converted to a Credit Union 1 checking account. Credit Union 1 offers a free non-interest bearing checking account and a free interest bearing checking account with certain requirements. As of the October 1 conversion date, the monthly checking account fee which may apply to your Credit Union 1 checking account will be waived through December 31, 2012. Members who currently have a USA One active checking account will be receiving a notice detailing the checking account options and requirements. Credit Union 1 will provide one complimentary box of 50 checks to all active checking account members, which will be mailed in mid-October. Once you have received your Credit Union 1 checks, please do not use any remaining USA One checks that you may have, as they will not be accepted after December 31st. Additionally, “cleared” USA One checks will not be viewable via OnLINE EXPRESS home banking; whereas Credit Union 1 “cleared” checks will be viewable. If you have any automatic debits or credits to your USA One checking account, you will need to advise each business of your new account number and Credit Union 1’s routing and transit number; 271188081.

    Money Market Account: If you currently utilize checks for your USA One National money market account and would like to continue to do so, please contact our Member Service Department at 800-252-6950, option 3 to make your request, as your current USA One National Credit Union money market checks will no longer be accepted as of January 1, 2013.

    ATM & Debit Cards: Credit Union 1 will not support your existing ATM or MasterCard debit card(s) effective the close of business on September 27th. Please continue to use your current USA One National CU Visa debit card through Thursday, September 27th. On Friday, September 28th, 2012, please cut your USA One National CU Visa debit card in half and dispose of it. At that time you may activate and begin using your Credit Union 1 Visa debit card by performing a pinned based transaction at any ATM or POS merchant.

    Loans and Deposit Accounts:: Members who currently have a loan(s) and/or Share Certificate of Deposit and/or IRA accounts, the rate and term for each of these products will remain as originally contracted for the remaining term of the agreement. However, dividends on Certificate of Deposit accounts are paid monthly on the last day of the month.

    ACH Direct Deposit and Payroll Postings: Every effort will be made to ensure payroll distributions are converted properly. There is no action required on your part for this transition to take place. However, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended that you verify your payroll distribution with your first payroll in October. This can be verified through OnLINE EXPRESS or by contacting our Member Service Department at 800-252-6950, option 3.

    Audio Service: Liberty Belle audio service is no longer available. Effective, Monday, October 1st you will have access to your account by using your new Credit Union 1 account number and the last 5 digits of your social security number via 1 Touch at 800-252-6950, option 1.

    Home Banking: At the close of business on Friday, September 28th, the USA One computer system will be permanently shut down. All account information will be converted to Credit Union 1’s system. As a result of this conversion, the USA One home banking service will no longer be available. However, as of Monday, October 1st, Credit Union 1’s home banking service, OnLINE EXPRESS, will be available for enrolling via www.creditunion1.org.

    E-Statements: Members who currently receives e-statements will receive their last e-statement from USA One National for the statement period ending 8/31/12. All members will receive a paper statement for the statement period ending 9/30/12. As of Monday, October 1st, members can sign up to receive e-statements through OnLINE EXPRESS home banking.

    Electronic Bill Payment: Unfortunately, we are unable to convert your payees from USA One’s electronic bill payment service. All electronic bills currently set up for payment will be paid through September 28th. In the event you have a payment scheduled after September 28th you will need to make other payment arrangements as electronic payments will not be transmitted after September 28th. To continue electronic bill payment, you will need to sign up with Credit Union 1’s bill payment service via OnLINE EXPRESS home banking. To ensure that you have correct information for bill payment setup, it is recommended that you capture all bill payment information from the current system prior to September 28th. This information will assist you with enrollment in our program. As there will be a short gap in the availability of these two programs, you will need to make interim arrangements for bill payment. Effective September 28th electronic payments will not be transmitted until you enroll and activate electronic bill pay with Credit Union 1.

    Shared Branching: Credit Union 1 participates in the credit union shared branching network. With shared branching, credit unions from all over the country share facilities to give members thousands of convenient locations to perform transactions just as if they were in their home credit union. Whether you are at work, home, or your favorite travel destination, Credit Union 1 is always nearby. When visiting a shared branch location, please be sure to state that you are a member of Credit Union 1 in Illinois and provide the staff with your Credit Union 1 account number.

    Visa Credit Cards: Please continue to use your current USA One Visa credit cards. Plans are underway to replace your USA One Visa credit card with a Credit Union 1 Visa Platinum credit card. You will be notified well in advance when to expect your Credit Union 1 Visa Platinum credit card. Until then, please continue to use your USA One Visa credit card.
