Kristin began her banking career in 2007 as a part-time teller for the largest privately-owned bank in the nation while working toward a Public Relations degree at the University of Oklahoma. She quickly realized banking and financial services offered the ability to make a lasting positive impact in the lives of her customers. Kristin worked diligently to become an expert in her various roles including teller supervisor, banker, assistant manager, and eventually as multi-branch manager, serving the communities of Central Oklahoma.
In 2016, Kristin and her husband moved to New Mexico where she became a Senior Branch Manager, overseeing three branches in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She graduated from Leadership Albuquerque after ten months of community projects and working with other local leaders to improve the greater Albuquerque area. Seeking a role in a more community-minded organization, Kristin shifted to the credit union arena as a Branch Operations Manager for the largest and most philanthropic credit union in New Mexico. It was there that she fell in love with the philosophy and values of credit unions. When Kristin and her family relocated to sunny Las Vegas, NV, she began her career with Credit Union 1 as Branch Manager of the West Sahara location in April 2019.
As CU1 moved into the cannabis banking space, Kristin knew she wanted to be a part of the program in some capacity. She feels passionate about the medicinal and economic benefits of cannabis as well as serving the underserved communities. Kristin became the Marijuana Related Business Relationship Manager for Nevada in July 2020.
In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband, Kendall, and their three Dachshunds. Kristin can be found on the tennis court several days a week or writing her first book.
