Welcome to Credit Union 1. This page is your headquarters for all Danville Bell Credit Union (DBCU) merger related information. The page will be updated periodically with important information about your accounts as the merger progresses. Checking Account: All DBCU checking accounts will be converted to a Credit Union 1 checking account. Credit Union 1 offers a non-dividend bearing checking account (Express Checking1) and a dividend bearing checking account (Express Plus Checking2) with certain requirements. Your DBCU Checking Account will be converted to our Express Checking Account, however, if you wish, you can change to an Express Plus Checking at a later time. As of August 1st, the monthly Checking Account fee which may apply to your Credit Union 1 Checking Account will be waived through October 31st, 2017.
Credit Union 1 will provide one complimentary box of 100 checks to all active checking account holders. The box of checks will be mailed in mid-August. Once you have received your Credit Union 1 checks, please do not use any remaining DBCU checks, as they will not be accepted after October 31, 2017. Note: "cleared" DBCU checks will not be viewable via Online Express home banking; whereas Credit Union 1 "cleared" checks will be viewable.
As of August 1st, you can order personalized checks online at creditunion1.org/orderchecks or via Online Express. Choose from many different check designs so you get the perfect check for your personality.
If you have any automatic debits or credits to your DBCU checking account, you will need to advise each business of your new account number and Credit Union 1's routing and transit number; 271188081.
Overdraft protection options are available for your Credit Union 1 Checking account. An Overdraft Transfer4, transfers funds from the Primary Savings account to the
Checking account when funds are not available to cover a transaction. Members can also apply for an Overdraft Protection Line of Credit. Our terms have a favorable rate of 14.50% APR5 with a tiered repayment requirement based upon balance, and optional payment protection coverage.
ACH Direct Deposit & Payroll Postings: Every effort will be made to ensure payroll distributions are converted properly. There is no action required on your part for this transition to take place. However, we recommended that you verify your payroll deposit and/or payroll distribution with your first payroll in August. This can be verified through Online Express or by contacting our Member Service Department.
Debit Card: Credit Union 1 Visa Debit Cards feature chip technology for added security. Make deposits at depository ATMs, unlimited free withdrawals at any Credit Union 1 owned ATM, and access to nearly 30,000 Surcharge-free ATMs through the CO-OP ATM network.
Credit Union 1 Debit Cards will be mailed mid-July.
Online Express Home Banking: At the close of business on Monday, July 31st, 2017, the DBCU computer system will be permanently shut down. As a result of this conversion, the DBCU Home Banking service will no longer be accessible.
You will receive a final statement through the date of conversion, but if you need other information like transaction history, balances or past statements from the DBCU Home Banking system, please retrieve this information prior to Sunday, July 30th. As of Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 Credit Union 1’s home banking service, Online Express, will be available for enrolling via our website creditunion1.org using your new Credit Union 1 account number. Online Express is a convenient way to access your account via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Via Online Express, you can access other eServices such as: CreditSense powered by SavvyMoney®, Mobile Banking, Online Bill Pay, eStatements and more!
Online Express Bill Payment: With the system conversion, payees setup in DBCU’s online bill payment service, Bell Pay, are unable to transfer to Credit Union 1’s Online Bill Pay service. All electronic bills currently scheduled for payment will be paid through July 31st. Should you have a payment
scheduled after July 31st, you will need to make other payment arrangements.
On August 1st, you will be able to sign up for Online Bill Pay via Online Express. For easier payee setup, we recommended that you capture all of your bill payment information from Bell Pay prior to July 30th.
Just login to Online Express, setup your payees and schedule a payment. It’s that easy! You can review your payments online, and even view an electronic version of some of your paper bills.
Mobile Banking: With Credit Union 1’s Mobile Banking3 services, you can
easily access your account anywhere, anytime through your mobile device, fast and secure. Mobile Deposit6 is a tool within our Mobile Banking App which allows you to securely deposit checks into your account using your camera enabled mobile device. The app is available for iPhone®, iPad®, and devices for AndroidTM.
1-Touch Audio Response Service: As of August 1st, 2017 you can obtain instant account information anytime, any day with a phone call to our toll free 1-Touch service. Use your new Credit Union 1 account number and the last 4 digits of your social security number to access your account via 1-Touch at (800) 252-6950, option 1.
Loan & Deposit Accounts:: As of August 1st, members who currently have a loan(s) and/or Share account(s) and/or IRA account(s) will have those products converted to matching products on the Credit Union 1 system. The rate and term for each of these products will remain as originally contracted for the remaining term of the agreement. Payments for Consumer Loans can

Our members can take advantage of the convenient locations nationwide. With the CO-OP Network there are nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs, more than 5,000 convenient branch locations, and more than 2,000 self-service locations covering all 50 states. Just look
for the CO-OP logos.
Important Fee Information: Please review the Credit Union 1 Fee Schedule as the fees,
with the exception of the monthly Checking Account Fee explained above, associated with your account are effective August 1st, 2017.
1There is a $4.95 fee per month. This fee does not apply to members that are under the age of 24 or that are 65 and older. OR to those enrolled in eStatements and have 5 completed Point-of-Sale Transactions for the calendar month. OR those enrolled in eStatements and have Direct Deposit or Payroll Deduction to a Credit Union 1 Checking Account. This fee will be waived 8/1/17 - 10/31/17 for DBCU members.
