With easy options including apps for iPhone, iPad and Android phone devices, SMS Text banking, and a Mobile Banking Website Credit Union 1 has you covered wherever you go.

Credit Union 1 mobile apps give you access to your account while on the go. Mobile banking is fast and secure. No matter where you are, Credit Union 1 is right there!

Sign up for Mobile Banking today by clicking the Sign Up tab above and following the instructions. A link to download the app from the App Store or Google Play can be sent to your phone or you can download the app directly from the App Store or Google Play. Usernames, passwords and security prompts are the same as those used for Online Express Home Banking.

Mobile Deposit is a new tool that is designed to make it easy and convenient to deposit checks anywhere, anytime from your camera enabled smartphone or iPad. To get started download the ONLINE Express Mobile App today.

How to Sign Up and/or Qualifications

Mobile deposit will be automatically enabled in your mobile application. This option can be added or removed based on you meeting specific criteria.

For accounts in good standing that have been opened less than 180 days, a per item limit of $2,500 and a daily limit of $2,500 is in effect.

For accounts in good standing that have been opened more than 180 days, a per item limit of $5,000 and a daily limit of $5,000 is in effect.

Steps to Deposit a Check
  • Endorse the check with your signature and your account number.
  • Open the Credit Union 1 Mobile Banking App.
  • Select Deposit.
  • Select the account you want to deposit the check into. (Savings, Checking or Money Market)
  • Enter the Amount of the check you wish to deposit.
  • Take a picture of the front of the check.
  • Take a picture of the back of the check.
  • Confirm and Submit the deposit.
  • Store the original copy of the check. Once your deposit has been made available to you for withdrawals, write on the front memo line of the check the date of your deposit and "cu1 mobile deposit". After you have confirmed the deposit is in your account keep the check for a few more days but destroy it after 45 days.

Rules and Deposit Timing
  • Deposits received via the Service are processed on our mobile deposit business days, which are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, until 4:00PM Central Time;
  • Deposit items that we receive by 4:00PM Central Time during one of our mobile deposit business days will be deposited into your Account by 5:00PM Central Time.
  • Deposit items that we receive after 4:00PM Central Time daily will be deposited to your account by 5:00PM Central Time on the following business day. Deposits made after 4:00PM Central Time on a Friday that is a business day, and at any time on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, will be deposited into your Account by 5:00PM Central Time on the next business day that we are open;
  • The earliest availability for withdrawal of funds deposited into your Account via the Service would be the second (2nd) business day after the business day on which we receive the deposit. We will make $200 available to you on the first (1st) business day following the day we post your deposit into your Account;

Tips for Using Mobile Deposit
  • Before logging into the Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone or iPad.
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
  • Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos.
  • Try not to get too much of the areas surrounding the check.
  • Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
  • Place the check on solid dark background before taking the photo of it.
  • Keep your phone or iPad flat and steady above the check when taking your photos.
  • Hold the camera as square to the check as possible to reduce corner to corner skew.
  • Make sure that the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
  • Make sure there are no shadows across the check.
  • Make sure that all four corners of the check are visible.
  • Make sure the check is not blurry.
  • Make sure that the MICR line (the numbers on the bottom of your check) are readable.
  • Make sure that the name of the Payee on the check is on the account.

Signing up for Mobile Banking is just as easy as the service itself! All you need is a Credit Union 1 account, access to Online Express Home Banking and your mobile phone or iPad.

To sign up using your mobile phone:

1. Login to Online Express Home Banking.
2. Select Mobile Banking from the Access Account Menu.
3. Follow the steps to enable your device for Mobile Banking.
4. You will receive an activation code on your mobile phone.
5. Once you have activated Mobile Banking you can choose to install the mobile app for iPhone or Android, use SMS text banking commands or access our Mobile Banking website.

To sign up using your iPad:

1. Download the Credit Union 1 Mobile iPad App from the Apple App Store.
2. Sign in using your Online Express login and security information.
3. Follow the steps to enable your device for Mobile Banking.
4. To make changes to your mobile device settings select Mobile Banking from the Access Account Menu in Online Express.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access CU1 Mobile Banking?
    In order to access CU1 Mobile Banking, you need a Credit Union 1 account, access to Online Express Home Banking, and a mobile device with an Internet connection. To see full instructions for signing up click Sign Up tab above.

Which mobile devices are supported for CU1 Mobile Banking?

    You can access CU1 Mobile Banking from any Internet-enabled mobile phone, Apple iPhone device, Apple iPad, or Android phone device.

    Note: For the mobile phone app, devices must be Internet-enabled and have a cell phone number associated with them. The tablet app is currently for Apple iPad only.

Is CU1 Mobile Banking secure?

    CU1 Mobile Banking is encrypted using the Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol, which provides the highest level of security available today. Additionally, all data that passes between web servers are encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Is there a fee to use CU1 Mobile Banking?

    No. CU1 Mobile Banking is a benefit of CU1 membership and is a complimentary service. Message and data rates charged by your carrier may apply.

What happens if I get locked out of CU1 Mobile Banking?

    As with Online Express Home Banking, you must call our Member Service Department at 800-252-6950 opt. 3 to reset your password. For security reasons, you may not specify your new password through CU1's Mobile Banking.
Why is my balance different in Mobile Banking than it is on Online Express?

    Mobile Banking displays your available balance. This is the balance available for withdrawal at this time. This can be different from your actual balane as Debit Card related holds or other holds created as you perform transactions reserve funds for clearing future transactions.
I have lost my phone or mobile device can I block access to my account?

    Yes. The Credit Union 1 Mobile Banking system is designed to allow you to block access to a specific device from within Online Express. From the Access Accounts Menu choose Mobile Banking. Choose Stop Using This Device for Mobile Banking and Click Go to disable access from the desired device.

I am not receiving text messages from CU1 including the activation code?

    Some carriers may block access to text messages from Credit Union 1. Please contact your carrier if you receive a message that texts are blocked or if you have issues receiving texts from Mobile Banking.

What is Mobile Deposit?

    Mobile Deposit is a secure and convenient way of making deposits with your mobile device anytime, anywhere! Take photos of the front and back of your check and submit. Review the deposit and done!

Can I make a payment using the Mobile Banking App, or is it for depositing into savings and checking only?

    You can only deposit into your primary savings, checking or money market account. You can transfer funds from any of these accounts after funds are made available to your through Online Express.

Is there is any kind of limit on the mobile check deposits?

    The maximum amount per item deposited per day is $2,500 if your account has been opened for 180 days or less or $5,000 if your account has been opened more than 180 days.

Do Mobile Deposit checks have to be signed?

    Yes, endorse or sign the check with your signature and your account number.

When will Mobile Deposits Post?

    On weekdays (excluding holidays), the cutoff time for same business day posting is 4:00PM Central Time. Deposits made after the 4:00PM Central Time cutoff will be posted the next business day. Deposits received after 4:00PM Central Time on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday or any holiday, will be posted on the next business day. Posting usually occurs between 4:00PM and 5:00PM Central Time. Up to $200 of your deposit will be available the following business day. The remainder may be placed on hold up to 2 business days. Longer holds in certain situations may apply.
