Welcome to Credit Union 1! Credit Union 1 (CU1) is acquiring NorthSide Community Bank, with an acquisition completion date of April 1, 2023. We are excited about this partnership and the ability to offer you expanded products and services, as well as a modern digital banking platform for both consumers and businesses.
Becoming part of Credit Union 1 means you can now count yourself among the robust membership that drives our credit union. CU1 is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative that is committed to the financial success of families and communities. As our membership grows, so does our ability to reinvest in our members. Deposits allow us to increase our lending services, which in turn generates interest income. This allows us to provide improved services and technology in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as well as higher deposit rates and lower loan rates for our members. As a result of the acquisition, CU1 will complete a required conversion of records and will need to assign you a new account number. At the end of the business on April 21, 2023, a conversion and consolidation of NorthSide Community Bank's and CU1's core processing systems will take place. Prior to that date, we will send you detailed information by mail detailing your new account number and explaining the conversion process and how this will affect your membership and access to your accounts.
