In September, our branches continued to engage with local communities through financial literacy, volunteer work, and partnership events. These events highlight the commitment of Credit Union 1 to empower families, students, and community members with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to thrive. Through hands-on involvement our branches continued to strengthen relationships and create meaningful opportunities for those we serve.

The Bradenton Branch attended the SOAR in 4 Ribbon Cutting in Manatee County, celebrating the launch of the new SOAR Lab. This partnership with the School District of Manatee County supports families in financial literacy and other educational opportunities.

The Matteson Branch was active in several community events, volunteering at the food pantry to pack and distribute food to 95 families. They also participated in the Senior Resource Event, providing financial education and distributing flyers to approximately 150 attendees, and hosted a table at the Blackhawk Open House, discussing financial education with 75 guests.

The Northlake Branch hosted a Financial Literacy event at St. John Vianney School, teaching Banking 101 to 5th through 8th grade students and helping them learn the basics of managing money.

The Rantoul Branch had a busy month, volunteering at the Eagles Nest Food Pantry three times, participating in the Head Start Book Mentors program, attending the Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce After Hours at Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch, and taking part in the Glow Golf Event, which raised over $4,000 for the Rantoul Chamber.

Finally, the Vernon Hills Branch continued their ongoing support at the Libertyville Township Food Pantry, volunteering twice in September to provide essential resources to local families. September was another strong month for Credit Union 1, highlighting our commitment to community support, education, and engagement across multiple locations.
