March was another strong month for Credit Union 1, with branches continuing to focus on financial education, community service, and meaningful local connections.
The Rantoul Branch remained highly active, supporting both education and community needs. The team volunteered with Head Start Book Mentors, reading to toddlers and encouraging early literacy, and attended the Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce Cash Bash, helping raise over $4,500 for local grants and community events. They also continued their commitment to addressing food insecurity by volunteering at the Eagles Nest Food Pantry, assisting 65 students, and the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, serving families in need.
The Sauk Centre Branch focused on preparing students for life beyond high school by leading a Strive budgeting class at Sauk Centre High School. Through an interactive simulation, students learned how to manage income, build budgets, and navigate real-world financial challenges, equipping them with practical skills for their future. Meanwhile, the Minot Branch connected with the next generation of professionals at the Minot State University Career Expo. The team engaged with students from a variety of majors, sharing information about Credit Union 1 and building relationships within the campus community. Across all locations, March highlighted Credit Union 1’s continued dedication to empowering individuals through education, service, and community involvement.
