May was filled with opportunities for Credit Union 1 branches to connect with their communities through family events, career development, and volunteer service.

The Matteson Branch participated in a community Easter celebration that welcomed approximately 150 attendees, providing an opportunity to engage with local families and share information about Credit Union 1. The Plano Branch attended a Parent Mentor Program family event, connecting with families through vendor booths and activities designed for children and parents.

The Rantoul Branch remained active throughout the month. The team participated in the Riverton-Parke High School Career Fair, connecting with nearly 470 students and sharing career opportunities available at CU1. They also attended the Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce Coffee and Connections event, networking with local employers and learning about the growing role of AI in the hiring process. Continuing their commitment to community service, the branch volunteered at the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, helping serve 55 families. The team also strengthened its partnership with Lincoln’s Challenge Academy by conducting mock interviews for graduating cadets, helping students build confidence and prepare for future employment opportunities.

Across all locations, May reflected Credit Union 1’s ongoing dedication to supporting families, fostering career readiness, and building meaningful community relationships.
