June was an exciting month of community engagement for Credit Union 1, highlighted by brand activations, financial education, and giving back to communities across our footprint.

The month kicked off with the Archer Branch’s CU1 Amphitheater activation, where the team represented Credit Union 1 at an event focused on brand awareness and member engagement. The activation provided an opportunity to connect with attendees and showcase CU1’s commitment to being involved beyond the branch.

All Credit Union 1 branches participated in the 2026 CU1 Cares Hygiene Drive, coming together to collect essential items to support local organizations and community members in need. Several branches made a significant impact, including the Homewood Branch, which donated collected items to Respond Now, the Matteson Branch, which collected donations benefiting My Path My Purpose, and the Rantoul Branch, which collected 9,085 items and donated to the Community Service Center of Northern Champaign County.

The Evergreen Park and Matteson Branch continued its focus on financial empowerment by hosting a financial literacy event for community members, helping participants build confidence and knowledge around managing their finances. The Matteson Branch also supported community wellness by participating in the Susan G. Komen Walk 2026, volunteering at registration and helping make the event a success. The Rantoul Branch continued its strong tradition of service by volunteering at the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, helping serve 57 families despite challenging weather conditions.

Across all branches, June reflected Credit Union 1’s continued focus on community connection, financial education, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
