Service of Process

Credit Union 1 uses ServePort™ to receive and process certain service of process documents, including subpoenas, levies, and eligible garnishments. ServePort™ allows agencies, businesses, law firms, and individuals to submit documents electronically in a secure and efficient manner.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve responsiveness, accuracy, and processing efficiency, we encourage eligible service of process documents to be submitted through the ServePort™portal.

To serve a Subpoena or Levy electronically through ServePort™, please visit: https://app.serveport.com/serve/creditunion1

  1. Enter your email address to receive a PIN.
  2. Select the type of document you are serving.
  3. Complete the short form.
  4. Click Submit to receive an Acknowledgment of Receipt.

This information is provided for general service of process guidance only and is not intended to provide legal advice. Please consult your own legal counsel regarding any legal requirements applicable to your garnishment.

Garnishments may be served electronically or by U.S. mail or in person, depending on the applicable state statute and whether a fee is required:

  • For garnishments that do not require a fee to be submitted with the garnishment request, you may submit the garnishment electronically through ServePort™ using the steps indicated above: https://app.serveport.com/serve/creditunion1

  • For garnishments that require a fee, the applicable fee must be submitted by check made payable to Credit Union 1. The check must accompany the garnishment request, and the request must be served by U.S. mail or in person at the address below:
