CU1 Early Pay FAQs

How does CU1 Early Pay work?
Credit Union 1 provides your funds as soon as the payor of your direct deposit—like your employer—provides the deposit information, rather than waiting for it to clear. The timing of how early you receive your payment is dependent on when the payor provides that information to Credit Union 1.

How do I set up direct deposit to a CU1 account?
You can easily set up direct deposit in Digital Banking. Log in to Digital Banking and select “Setup Direct Deposit” under Services in the main menu. Then follow the prompts to set up Direct Deposit. If you need further assistance, start a LiveChat or call 800.252.6950.

What if I already have direct deposit to a CU1 account?
If you already have direct deposit set up to a CU1 account, you are already receiving the benefit of CU1 Early Pay. You do not have to opt in to get paid sooner—this is an automatic benefit of your CU1 membership.

How do I know when my direct deposit arrives?
The timing of how early you receive your payment is dependent on when the payor provides that information to Credit Union 1. We cannot guarantee the timing, but you are always able to monitor when deposits are posted to your account through Credit Union 1’s Digital Banking. You can also set up account alerts in Digital Banking so you are notified as soon as your deposit hits.

1Early access to direct deposit funds is a free, automatic feature and depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date. Standard fraud prevention restrictions apply. If your deposit doesn't arrive early, expect it to arrive on your scheduled payday.
